2019 FAIR GUIDELINES

Here are a few guidelines and requests to help us all enjoy the fair.

  1. Have fun - enjoy learning new things, meeting new people, engaging in new conversations that are positive and hopeful

  2. Keep an eye out and a ready hand for people who might need your help getting around, parking in mobility-accessible parking spots, finding a seat

  3. Enjoy the music, dance to your heart’s content, but keep your dancing and standing to areas that do not block the view of people sitting around or behind you

  4. When enjoying displays indoors near the speaker stages, be mindful of not making noise at a level that distracts from presentations

  5. Be respectful with your phone and camera - turn your ringer off during concerts, demonstrations and presentations

  6. No pets are allowed at the fair - if you did not realize this and are traveling with a pet, please visit the Fair Office for recommendations for temporary pet housing during the fair - any pet deemed by Fair security to be uncomfortable or at risk in a parked vehicle will be removed from the vehicle and secured until the owner can be found and safety ensured

  7. Feel free to enjoy our beer gardens and education area whether you are a beer drinker or not - if you do want to purchase and consume beer, you will be carded, must wear an ID bracelet to confirm that you have been successfully carded, and must remain within the clearly delineated, fenced structure while drinking an alcoholic beverage or being in possession of one - minors are not permitted in the beer garden unless accompanied by an adult parent or guardian

about us

The Higher Ground Fair celebrates rural Rocky Mountain living - the traditional to the innovative - with the goal of a better future for all of us. The organizers have a commitment to find, showcase and promote music, agriculture, art, culture, and food from the six Rocky Mountain states of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and the Native First Nations that also call this region home. The fair is brought to you by and benefits the nonprofit work of Feeding Laramie Valley and Action Resources International.
