Miss Elaine's Quilts

Laramie resident Elaine loves to quilt, embroider and teach classes in all hand crafts. She refers to herself as "a quilt tutor" and will have her beautiful quilts on display as well as information about her teachings!

Owner Mykel was raised in Fort Collins and continues to pickle cucumbers the same way her mom, dad and grandmother taught her - using the vegetables grown in her garden. All pickles are handmade in small batches, using local ingredients when in season. Each batch features a unique Fort Collins Pickle Company spice recipe using ingredients from the Old Town Spice Show. 

Bucking Bronco Glass creates extraordinary and original fused glass products and home décor. All items are produced in house just north of Cheyenne, WY, in one of three glass kilns. Products include: fused glass coasters, plates, cheese platters, serving platters, spoon rests, sun catchers, garden items and more

Tish Corbridge offers over 30 years of quilting experience. Her passion is finding, restoring and finishing vintage quilts. Each quilt she sells is either refurbished or hand made with attention to quality and detail. Based in Cheyenne, WY.

The Booking Glass artist Denise Winchell gives a new purpose to discarded books and bottles by folding the books into art and using quilling to add unique fun to bottles. Based in Casper, WY.

This is a family run ranch that raises emus free from chemicals and believes in preserving and documenting bloodlines for healthy and happy animals. Emu oil products including soap, lotion, and pain relief formulas, as well as, FDA inspected and packed emu meat and jerky. Based in Cheyenne, WY.

Shane creates custom-made rings and necklaces from coins and other jewelry items made from repurposed silverware. Based out of Gillette, Wyoming.

Dragon Fly Designs was born from an idea from the crafter's very own wedding planning when she discovered wood flowers and instantly fell in love. They make an assortment of wood flower arrangements, many that are custom creations. They also refinish furniture to make it beautiful and unique. Based in Cody, WY.

The mission of Rusty the Ranch Horse Tales is to entertain, inspire, promote, and educate readers about the western lifestyle and cowboy ethics using positive messages about life experiences starring a ranch horse named Rusty. Mother and daughter duo create these colorful tales.

Michele creates unique western jewelry and dreamcatchers in the SW tribe design. She also cuts old or ugly jewelry apart, combines elements & creates new beautiful jewelry. For the dreamcatchers, Michele strips leather and designs dream catchers using beads and feathers gathered from the mountains of AZ & WY.

Buffalo Valley Soaps contain 8 different oils, with olive oil being used in largest quantity. Her lotion bars are made from 15-20 oils reputed for skin care including olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and hemp oil. Buffalo Valley Soaps also makes homemade lip conditioner, bath fizzies, spritzers, and chemical-free dryer sheets.

BE's bees

Bruce Embry is a bee keeper, beeswax candlemaker, woodworker, and avid knitter. He can be found at the Thursday Local Laramie Farmer's Market selling honey sticks, all of his products, and probably knitting too! 

Located in Historic Downtown Laramie, Cowgirl Yarn is a fiber-lover's paradise. Their unique collection of scrumptious yarns, luxurious needles, fashion-forward patterns, one-of-a-kind accessories, and oodles of inspiration provides the ideal home for any and all knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners. They proudly offer a large and exclusive selection of yarns and fibers that are produced here in Wyoming.

Grannie Kay's products are made from the heart and are absolutely one-of-a-kind. At her store in Walden, Colorado or on her Etsy page, Kay offers a wide variety of products such as jellies and jams (over 50 flavors!), crocheted items, sports fan gear, clothing for all ages, pillows, jewelry, and so much more. 


Accents will be selling ceramic yarn bowls, some functional pottery, earrings, barrettes and necklaces. There will also be some textile items such as ribbon yarn necklaces, embroidered earrings, bags and 18' doll clothes. Come see Accents in the Higher Ground Fair's Fleece and Fiber area!

Simple and Sylvan creates mountain inspired art and is inspired by the colors and scenes of the Colorado Mountains. Her work is composed of multiple layers of laser-cut wood which are stained then sewn together creating a three dimensional mountain landscape.

ampersand gem & jewelry 

Arla and Kevin make the majority of their jewelry products, and Kevin hand polishes regional rocks into rock sculptures and polished slabs. They both love presenting their stones and rocks to the public, educating people about gemology and the rockhounding and lapidary hobby.

rawhide studio

Dave is a high school art teacher who has worked as a sculptor for 30 years, and has dabbled in jewelry for about the same amount of time. The seductive qualities of rawhide have pulled him in to the joys of contemporary jewelry design with a Western flair. Made from natural, lightweight, translucent rawhide, each piece is handmade and unique.


Red Desert Wear

Laura is a textile artist that loves the patterns of nature. She uses nature's images and sometimes even the plants themselves to dye or paint silk and natural fibers.  Lori uses several different techniques and dying processes including eco-dying, hand-painted French Serti, Arashi, Itajime, and stitch resist to create colorful textiles.


Cookie's cuttings and carvings

Jacque Cook and her husband are retired couple from Laramie, WY. Together they create a variety of products using their woodworking skills and a laser etcher/cutter. Some of their products include puzzles, models, boxes, drinkware, jewelry, LED edge lit acrylic lamps, custom personalized items, and more!


Poppy Design Studio

Lori Hunter is a creative mother of two and a maker/artist/graphic designer with a passion for reducing waste! Her products are repurposed items found in thrift stores, yard sales, and sometime even trash bins! Her products include journals, handmade cards, cuffs made from belts and ties, baskets made from old t-shirts and much more!

The Stagecoach Stop

This traveling general store sells fine-art nature and photography, etched glass pieces, metal art, lathe turned pens and household items, professional calligraphy, children's bibs, dog bandanas, and more! Their collection is extensive!


Seeds Trust

Seeds Trust is a Denver-based seed company dedicated to teaching customers to save seed. They sell open-pollinated, high altitude-adapted vegetable, wildflower, grass and herb seeds suitable for challenging growing environments.


Reflections of the Winds

Delsa has been photographing landscapes and hidden views of nature in western Wyoming as long as she can remember, always finding new and refreshing washing of sharing her experience with nature through her images! She is best known for her traditional landscape work, but has been gaining a reputation for producing stunning contemporary images.

The Higher Ground Fair celebrates rural Rocky Mountain living - the traditional to the innovative - with the goal of a better future for all of us. The organizers have a commitment to find, showcase and promote music, agriculture, art, culture, and food from the six Rocky Mountain states of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and the Native First Nations that also call this region home. The fair is brought to you by and benefits the nonprofit work of Feeding Laramie Valley and Action Resources International.
